When is comes to build your presence on social media you must accurately define the following: 1. Purpose: What is your objective? What do you try to accomplish on each channel? Identify why you are communicating. What do you want your audience to feel, think, do or know? 2. Audience: Who is your audience? What do they care about? What is relevant? What do they value? How will audience members respond to your messages? How will you reach them? What channels will you use? 3. Information on your messages. What are the key points or keywords? prioritize What must be included;? What is extraneous? Be concise Consider the audience’s point of view 4.Context What is your audience’s mood? What has happened recently within the organization and externally which may influence how the audience will receive the information Do research to determine the context.
